book worm

Today was a day that marked a right of passage for any book reader. Miss M signed for her very own library card. She was so excited that she called me herself just to let me know her good news and I was so excited for her my voice elevated enough that my entire office heard me...heehee oops.

Reading is definitely something that we treasure in our home. Both Joe and I came from a family of readers so it's only natural that our onion (still hoping someday to pluralize that *sigh*) shares the love of books as well. Sure she can't read them entirely by herself but she can read "and", "the" and "at". Getting there.

I've got my own book I'm working on right now but it's not nearly as fun to read as these. But when are computer textbooks ever "fun" to read other than inducing sleep? Here's to getting my nerd on!

It's so exciting when they get a library card. It's like the key to a whole cave full of jewels!!! No wonder you were excited for her. :)
