Oxygen's Good Stuff!

Yesterday was my "King of the Hill" day. You know the episode where Hank had to see the Dr for a colonoscopy? All I could think about was the one line where the doctor asked, "Do you like vide-a games Bobbie?"

Well I had to go in for one of those wonderful probing procedures to make sure all is well, and as it turns out; All is well! YAY! But of course I could not go one day with out my mouth embarassing me.

While I was in the room they layed the oxygen tube in my nose and told me to inhale nice deep breaths. Meanwhile we were conversing nice chit chat then they asked me to roll to my side. With all the tubes and monitors they had hooked up to me, I had to sit up and turn to lay back down on my side. Well....that's where the crazyness started!

When I sat up i realized that the oxygen really buzzed my brain and when my brain buzzes I giggle. I then said," Wow this Oxygen's good stuff! I've been to an Oxygen bar years ago but it was nothing like this!" I remember hearing the techs and nurses chuckle then I piped up again with, "This stuff is great!" I passed out before I could redeem myself.

When I was coming around, I could hear the nurse tell Betty Lou that I was giggling before I went under and giggled when they woke me.

Yes.

It was that good!

So Roudolf, how did you get your Red Nose again?

And here is Maribel with her personal interpretation of Roudolf the Red Nose Reindeer

Joe called me and says," Okay don't freak out when you see Maribel!"
Um honey, that's not the kind of opening statement you want to use on a Mommy. I guess our little Evel Knievel decided to take a leap off the moving wagon and ended up doing a face plant on the concrete.

This little girl fears nothing! And just in time for Christmas too. UGH!

Sad Weekend

I received a text from Victoria letting me know that Gramam was in the hospital and that she had taken a turn for the worse. Later that afternoon she passed away. She lived 89 years and has seen more than most. She will be dearly missed.
This has been a hard year for our family losing Michael in July and now Gram. I miss Mike and Gramam terribly, but I know I will see them again. I take comfort in knowing that they are always near and will be there to protect me when I need it.

I found this picture while looking through my old albums. I can't help but chuckle when I look at Mike's Adidas muscle shirt and Gram's boobage shirt! Love it! Oh and check out Gram's blue eye shadow! How awesome is that?

Oh Those Empty Threats

There is nothing like being a parent who uses the Empty Threat technique. Well my wonderful sister is also one of them (sorry Vic I have to.) Whilest talking with Vic on the phone, her and her two wonderful kids Aidan and Sherry-kins were stopped at Denny's on their way up to Edmonton for a pee break and a little something to eat. I understoond from the background commotion that the kids weren't exactly behaving and then Mommy pulls out the "guns" and pipes in, "Well maybe you guys don't want to eat at this fancy place anymore?"
Oh Vic, I love it! I naturally began laughing and replied with, "Since when was Denny's concidered a "Fancy" restaurant?" But of course her words worked as she expected. I could hear Aidan cry, "Noooooooooooo."

Here is a little something that I have to share! This is my Super Hero!

I love this picture more than words can say! When I first saw this I was crying from laughing so hard!

The Holidays are Here....

...and I'm not ready! This is the second year that I haven't been my usual Christmasy self. I think mostly it's because I haven't had a snowy Christmas in 5 years. The One year I went home for Christmas, there was barely any so I'm not counting that.

This weekend we went to Miss Patty's for her Christmas party. When I mentioned to Maribel that we were going to Miss Patty's to "play" she wanted to leave right away. We were still getting things together and I guess we weren't working fast enough because Maribel was standing at the door crying ,"Pyay. Pa-ayeees!"

We got there and had some wonderful food then we had a visit from Santa himself. A bunch of the kids freaked out and started crying but Maribel surprised us and just sat on Grandma's lap so she could see what going on. Once she realized that gifts are involved, she was all over that. But wouldn't smile.
