faves of 2009

It's still hard to believe that 2009 is coming to a close. I spent the last couple of hours just recapping the year in photos and I can't believe how much Maribel has grown. She's a little weed that thrives on anything pink and sparkly ;0)

I also looked through my scapbook pages and relived those memories all prettied up and want to share my favourite ones of 2009

I love this one of Maribel. She really is the light in my life
Never Grow Up

My Mojo Jojo. He puts the skip in my step and the thump thump in my heart *love sigh*
My *heart* Thump Thumps for You

This little sweet heart melts my heart and I love this photo of her so much. My sister captured this precious moment of my niece Sherry colouring her felt case daydreaming away. So presh!
Sunshine and Lollipops

Maribel's first trip to Sea World is a time I never want to forget. She loved the dolphins the most and in these pics she looks so tiny next to these beautiful creatures.
"Oh Yook!"

And my fave above all faves...
Outta this *world*
That's right. This kid really is out of this world. Not only is he stinking cute, but he's super funny and so sweet and conciderate. He will make someone very happy one day.

chew chew

I was asked if I would have my face painted like a piece of gum and they would give me $20. Uh....sure. For some reason I have this strong urge to buy some Trident Layers Strawberry Citrus gum...

What would you do for $20?

boxing day and M's first movie

Okay, so living in Florida hasn't completely numbed my Canadian traditions. ;0)I was there when Target opened to ensure first dibbs. So now I'm all set for next year!

After the shopping and a little nap, we took Maribel to her first movie, Disney's "Princess and the Frog." She loved it and made friends in the middle of the movie too ;0)

Now that she's had a taste of watching movies on the big screen, she asks to watch all her movies in the theatre. I guess Alvin and Chipmunks are next =)

brrrr baby, it's cold inside

We were invited to lunch at the Gaylord Palms with a tour of Ice afterwards.
Seriously, so cool! heh heh-pun totally intended

Remembering the reason for this blessed season.
This display left me breathless...

I guess this is the closest we will get to snow in Florida ;0)

Ho Ho comes this week!
Are you ready?

sugar high

Maribel saw the cookie mix in the fridge and wanted to make them right away for "Ho Ho". Who am I to argue right? Plus I couldn't think of a better way to pass the time then make some snowflake cookies that will later look like flowers. =)
Maybe we'll save these ones for Santa hee hee

6 more sleeps

This video really hit home and reminded me that it's not the money we spend but what has been given us so long ago.

Turn off the music on the side bar

They showed this video at our ward Christmas party last week and I had to fight back the tears. I want to give a special thanks to my friend Lisa for posting it on her blog so I can "borrow" it. Thanks Lisa <3

twinkle twinkle little lights...

Our tree is up. Finally YAY!!! I love turning off all the lights and just admiring all the twinkling reflections, and glistening shimmers. So beautiful.

Isn't this guy just the cutest? I have this thing for snowmen, especially fuzzy ones hee hee
Have a great weekend!

santa's helpers

This photo has absolutely nothing to do with thie post but our little stinky winky gets me everytime when she turns on her charm ;0)

Last night our ward's Young Women's group were wrapping presents as a service project and seeing that 'Santa' could really use the help this year, we piled the prezzies into the car and off we went.

Maribel played with her little buddies from Nursery (running laps around the building) and I sat and relaxed. It felt great to just sit there. Like, really great. =)

I wonder if Santa's helpers wouldn't mind going to work for me too?
Ahh worth a shot.

December already

And I still don't have my tree up yet. *sniff* I think this is the first time I haven't had our tree up early. It feels so weird. But I did, however, manage to get another layout done that I had sitting unfinished for eons and eons.

If you want to read the story just click on the photo to enlarge it

It's kind of hard to see but while the glitter was drying I had to step away for a moment to tend to Maribel. When I came back I noticed that I had a couple of glitter spots across the one side of the page and an orange kitty settling down across the top of the chesterfield with something twinkling from his little paw. Hmmm interesting. Milo was probably insulted that the LO was not about him. He's the jealous type.

Well here's hoping things settle down a bit long enough to get my tree up and decorated. I have the decorations out just begging to be dangling by a gold thread.

Have a happy Friday everyone!
