oh summer you were good to us
I can hardly believe that the end of summer is rapidly approaching. It seems like it was only last week that we traded the nap sacks for swim suits but now we are back to nap sacks.
I also noticed that my Scrapbooking mojo also takes a little holiday and this layout reminded me that I have some supplies that are begging to be played with.... guess I know what I'm doing this weekend!
Happy hump day!!!

project life box
I'm trying not to think about how behind I am on my project life but I made this box to hold all the collected goodies that I have so far. I used the Maggie Holmes Product Sampler available at Scrappy Boutique to decorate the box.
This particular box came with these thick chipboard dividers so I covered them and used some of the awesome trims and trinkets that come in the kit to decorate them. I left two of them blank to add to later once I figure what else I want to store in there. Any suggestions?
The keepsake section is a place that holds the little souvenirs I pick up along my daily travels. Finally I have a place to keep these little odds and ends to add into my pages. As it sits right now I throw them into a zip lock baggie but then I lose the bag so this section is most handy to me. It's a darn tootin' good thing that my head is attached or I'd lose that as well. Trust me....
My favourite thing to make for Project Life is handmade ATC's from leftover scraps. These are all 3x4 cards that can either be filler cards or hold photos/journaling. I've participated in a few project life tag swaps on Instagram and that's what got me hooked on making these little gems. Super easy and duper fun!
I've also created some scrappy pages with this kit so I will share those next. Don't want to overload the server now....Take care and ta ta for now. *wink

Skrap n' Chat Blog Hop
Hello there and welcome to Skrap n' Chat's blog hop!
This is my first blog hop that I've ever done so needless to say I'm kinda tickled to be playing along. We went with a theme of misting and masking and I've been using a lot of mists on my recent pages so I wanted to try something different for the masking part.
For my layout I wanted to try masking with washi tape and spray mist. I liked using the washi tape because it peeled off nice and easy. When I use spray mist I tend to forget to cover my work station but this time I actually remembered which was a nice change except... I used tissue paper and it leaked through. *le sigh* I'll chalk that up as "E" for effort.
But here's how it looks when the tape is peeled off with a photo and decorated with fun elements.
Ok so this is my dad. Yup he's really holding up lemons as boobies. He's awesome sauce if you ask me.
I've been super spoiled to have him down south for a few months while the north raged on with it's winter. I'm trying not to think about how he leaves in a few short days to head back home so for now I will just scrapbook layouts about his time here instead to keep me busy.
heh heh lemon boobies......yes I still giggle when I say it out loud.
Next up in line is April http://livewelllaughoftenscrapmuch.blogspot.com/

anchors aweigh -an itty mini album tutorial
I read somewhere that anchors are the next up and coming trend which reminds me of the little itty mini album I created for Scrappy Boutique using the Uncharted Waters Product Sampler kit. I absolutely love this kit. The extras are super fun and the papers were so easy to work with. If you want to see all the comes in the kit just check out their video of all of the contents.
Now let's go make a mini album shall we?
-album cover paper cut to 5 ½ x 12
-3 papers cut to 5 x 7
-embellishments of choice
-embellishments of choice
-adhesive of choice
-scissors
-bone folder (or a ruler works just as well)
-score pad (or paper trimmer used for scoring)
- sewing machine (don't worry if you don't have one, I'll show an alternative as well)
For the larger front pocket snip the corner off and then glue the bottom edge of the front pocket and the top and bottom edge of the back pocket.
Now off to the sewing machine we go.
Assemble the 5x7 papers in the order you want and line them adding the Glassine baggie (if you are using the Product Sampler kit) and then sewing down the middle.
If you do not have a sewing machine you can also hole punch the center and use ribbon to bind it together. Now that your album is all assembled it's time to add your personal touch with embellishments of your choice.
I was afraid of my keepsakes falling out of the little baggie so I punched out two small flowers and used brads to attach them for the twine to wrap around.

It’s itty and it’s mini but it can hold quite a bit. I hope you had fun making this little itty and please post a link in the comments to your creations so we all can see and oogle and ahhh over them.

happy scrappy news-yay!
I’ve had the total pleasure to get crafty for my local scrapbooking store, Scrappy Boutique, who has gone web and create fun scrapbook pages and creations for their new Product Sampler kits. I may or may not have squealed with delight when they asked me to design some pages for them… ok so I totally freaked out! EEK!
Basically in a nut shell you get a sample of the new products released by various awesome paper lines plus additional little coordinating bobbles and bits to make your creations one of a kind. Brilliant if you ask me.
The first kit I dove into was the new Glitz Designs Color Me Happy line. I immediately fell in love the bright colours and fun elements and designs. So bright. So fun.
In the paper selection there are two sheets of cut out tags that work perfectly with Project Life. How perfect is that?
I was able to use one sheet for my Week 5 spread which helped spread out the backside of the other paper for another week which I am currently behind on. Story of my life…but hey it’s my life and my story and I’m okay with that.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
The second kit I had the pleasure to play with was the other line by Glitz called Uncharted Waters. Looove this one!
This photo was from last year’s family reunion at Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina. Man I love that beach.
With this kit I also created an itty mini album using more of the kit and a whole lotta punches. Who knew an itty mini could leave such a big mess? I will post more details of this little gem with a tutorial on how to make an itty mini shortly. Pinky promise!
