well, it happened
Joe was let go from his job of 6 years yesterday.
Just when you think you are safe, you really aren't. We feel, although it isn't the most ideal thing to happen, it was meant to be. We both feel our Lord's hand in this and with that faith, we will trust in Him.
Don't worry about us. ;0) We have our family and our faith and with those two things we will be strong keep calm and carry on!

all he wanted to do
I thought I would share my layout I did for this month's LO Tag over at SkrapnChat. This is my nephew Aidan. He is one ball of energy that kid, and I love him so! When I asked him over the phone what he wanted to do when he got to Florida his answer was,(all cool and calm like, naturally) "I just want to surf." And here I was thinking he was going to say, "I want to see you Aunty Jenn!" *sigh*
That's okay, at least I got to watch him surf it up in the US of A.

keeping busy and receiving blessings
I'm missing our lil' Stinky Winky something awful. *sniff*
Thursday evening Grandma went up to South Carolina for the weekend and asked if she could take our little Boo with her. Who am I to deny Maribel a fun trip with her grandma? So naturally I said yes.
Hmmmm what to do... what to do...
~* Keeping Busy *~
With the borrowed time Joe tidied up the garage and cleaned the aquatic turtle tank. Good thing too because it was getting a little pungent and if I can smell it, then goodness knows who else down our street could smell it and wonder where that stench is coming from. Oi!) So he was very productive. I on the other hand was stuck at work wishing I was home, or in South Carolina with my lovelies :0)I played some more LocoRoco to pass the time. I've now found 5 little LocoRoco dudes! Woo Hoo!
Later we went to see "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince." Awesome BTW! It was my second time seeing it but since Joe hadn't seen it yet I was totally willing to take one for the team :P
It's so nice to have some time together kid free, but we found that most of our conversation was about Maribel so really, we weren't alone. Our little miracle was with us in our thoughts and words.
~* Receiving Blessings *~
Today we went to the temple to do some work for my paternal grandparents. Oh to feel the Spirit and serve our Lord. It was so awesome and humbling to be able to do the work needed for them. I only wish I had known them better. I have the memories of talking to them on the phone when I was a child and having my Dad right beside me reminding me to "speak up hunny, they can't hear very well." I would very much love to hear their English accents again. I'll just have to wait a little longer ;0)
I'm so happy Maribel comes home tomorrow. I need her little whirl wind self to play with me so we can make a mess out of her toys together. Well, not a huge mess. I just cleaned the living room. heehee
Have a great weekend!

I'm seriously addicted.......
I recognize it now.
I catch myself playing this disgustingly cute game for hours ;0) thanks to my equally cute nephew, Aidan and niece, Sherry who introduced me to this electronic infatuation. *sigh*
Poor Joe Joe hasn't seen his psp for weeks now. *blush*
When I start talking to the game he thinks I'm talking to him and answers my silly antics.
Silly boy ;0)

Fabulous Finds!
Who doesn't love a good deal right?
Check out these wonders that happened into my shopping hands! Tee Hee!
Yellow top, Glass votive holder, and the little dish from Anthropologie (my new favourite store); Cute kickers, and Mossimo clutch, from Target; Serving trays from IKEA; yellow photo clutch; sweet new apron from Ross (gotta *heart* Ross);0)
I also included some of my favourite things that I have been diggin' these days. As you can tell, the colour yELloW is one of them. ;0) along with some studio g alpha stamps; my sweet iron turtle yarn holder; and of course Joe and I's new found love for the Bananagrams game! (We just won't mention how many times he kicks my butt. Nope. Shhhhhhh) LOL
Milo's tie (something that always makes me smile); some cute earrings; silicone cupcake bakeware. When I'm not chasing my subjects for pics, I'm caught playing my favourite game LocoRoco (this game is seriously the cutest ever! ;0)
If you notice the table I have everything on, it's one that my Grandaddy made many years ago. It's been at my parents house for as long as I can remember and when my Dad came down earlier this month, he brought it with him. I feel so blessed to have a little piece of his legacy. Family is so important to me and here is a photo of my mom (as a baby) with my grandparents. (My Grandaddy that built the table) They have all passed on so this family photo is extra special to me.
And just for kicks here is Mr. Milo sporting his spiffy tie. He looks like such a stud when he wears it around the house.
***I was inspired by Elizabeth Kartchner's blog entry called Monthly Merriment. She is very inspiring and it's such a fun blog to read. Go check her out here.
cheers!

There is Nothing More Precious Than Family
This week has been one that I will remember and treasure for the rest of my days.
Dad, Dan, Aidan and Sherry arrived via driving early June 30th. It was so exciting to see my Dad again. He looks so awesome now he is 90 lbs lighter! Way to go DAD!!!
Maribel and Sherry hit it off right away as you can see those two were as thick as theives.
We all had a surprise for Dan on Wednesday. We asked him to pick up Maribel from her dayhome and Betty Lou picked up Pearl from the airport. He was completely clueless. It was awesome.
Vic flew in late Thursday with a terrible kidney infection. Poor thing. But that didn't dampen her mood for wanting to headed out to Cocoa Beach the next day. But before we loaded our cars we had the most wonderful news. There will be another Mrs Carlberg joining our family. Phillip and Michelle are now engaged!
YAY!!!
Good Ole Cocoa Beach!
We celebrated Independance Day all day and what a blast! We finished the day with several hours of fireworks and sparklers. It was so nice to have so many of my family here to celebrate a true 4th of July!
I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful family and extended family to celebrate holidays and everyday life with. I know our Heavenly Father has a plan for us and I am so grateful that I get to live it with my families.

Happy Birthday Canada!
Canada's now 142 Years Old!
These are just some of my favOUrite things I love about Canada!
Kids in the Hall!
Mmmmmmm Maple syrup
The Friendly Giant
Mr Dressup
And yes! And I still call it Homo Milk!!!
I can't wait to teach Maribel "Skinamarinky dinky dink, Skinamarinky doo, I love you!" from Sharon, Lois, and Bram
Do you know what a Robertson screwdriver is?
Normally I would have Canadian Tire money in my kitchen drawers but they don't seem to have a Canadian Tire store here in Florida. Go Figure!
.........................And it's ^ not "zee"!
Lacrosse is Canadian.
Hockey is Canadian.
Basketball is Canadian
“Other Canadian inventions include: the jolly jumper, duct tape, insulin, walkie talkies, roller skates, Superman, air-conditioned vehicles, acrylics, standard time (and daylight saving time), the paint-roller, the radio compass, snowmobiles, jet skis, improved zippers, and the handles on cardboard beer cases, etc.,etc., etc. (there are thousands more!)”
But best of all.....
I AM CANADIAN!!!
Happy Canada Day!
